In times long past some evil magicians developed this deadly spell to overcome their enemies. In recent history, the use of this useful spell has become quite common, though. The spell is stored on runes but the disadvantage is that since the rune just hurts a single being it is difficult to use against moving targets. But since every single rune is quite precious, the developers of the spell made sure that the rune doesn't unleash its power if the target was missed.

The rune is very useful in any fight, but especially useful in fights where the target doesn't move. Either that the caster himself is able to face his opponent or fellow adventurer distracts it.
