Attribution
Different from the natural properties of the items, additional attributes can be added to specific items if they have classification 1 or above. Item classification means how many attributes this item can support, e.g: class 3 items can be enchanted with a maximum of 3 different attributes), as well as the maximum value it may have when enchanted.
Each item has a specific set of attributes that can be added to it, and this is where the system's balancing occurs. You will find the "burning" attribute on fire-type weapons. In other hand, mana leech, magic level, and mana regen can be added to items considered magical, such as the "skull staff" and "blue robe". You can check all items attributes set on items page.
Attributed items are represented by a frame, which will indicate the number of enchanted attributes, from 1 to 5.

There are two ways an item can be attributed: by dropping from creatures or through enchantments.
Rare Drops
All items with clasification level have a chance of being dropped with attributes. More common items have a very low chance of being looted with an attribute, while particularly rare items have a good chance of having an attribute when dropped. Items can even drop with more than 1 attribute, but this is even rarer. This chance also varies depending on the monster that is defeated, e.g.: you have a higher chance of getting an attributed sword as a drop from a dragon than from a rotworm.
Enchantments
To enchant an item with attributes, you need to gather the specific mystic rune. Each item type requires a different rune, (e.g: weapons are enchanted with ember runes, while armors can be enchanted with molten runes). These special runes can be crafted or acquired through mystic bags (dropped by elite monsters).
To procced with the enchantment, you also need arcane orbs (consumable resources acquired through the NPC Alexander in Edron). The chance of a sucessfully enchantment is the average chance of all available attributes for that item. You can also choose to use the grand arcane orb which offers a +50% increase in the final enchantment chance.
Attribute Removal
Fiery stones could be used to remove the entire enchantment of an item in order to acquire pulverized ores (which are materials for craft mystic runes). The more enchantments an item has, the more ores it can provide when the enchantment is destroyed.
Attribute Protection
On death, each item equipped on the character has 20% chance to completely break the enchantment. To protect your item enchantments, you need to acquire the "The Arcane Guardian" bless from the NPCs Eremo or Humphrey. This bless lasts for 10 days, but the time is only counted while in battle and for each attribute equipped on the character, the time decays 10% faster.
